The 103rd birthday of St Oscar Romero was marked in the UK by a Mass celebrated at St George's Cathedral, Southwark, on 15 August 2020.
Mgr Canon John O'Toole was the main celebrant and homilist. Mgr John is the Episcopal Vicar for Kent, and a Guardian of the Southwark Romero Shrine, housed in St George's Cathedral. He was joined by Canon Alan McLean, parish priest of Hoy Trinity Parish, Dockhead, and a fellow Guardian of the Shrine.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Mass was celebarated in the cathedral and live-streamed, thanks to the Archdiocese of Southwark who provided the technical ability to broadcast the Mass.
