Relics of Romero's life and martyrdom preserved by the Carmelite Sisters in the small house at the Hospitalito where he chose to live. Amongst these images are those of his blood stained purple and white Mass vestments and  the shirt he was wearing when shot. Especially poignant are the crystalised sweat stains on his trousers caused by the sudden fear when he saw his assassin yet did not move so as not to endanger any of those present at the Mass.
